11:55AM IL: First reports of gunfire in the food court area of the Beersheva mall began coming in a short time ago, at 11:40am.

MDA ambulances and police responded to a possible terrorist attack. First units on the scene reported a soldier is in critical condition, the result of gunfire.

Police are reporting that it appears the shooting was the result of a feud or other criminally related incident, not a terror attack. Emergency responders are operating on the scene. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.

12:18PM IL: Unofficial but reliable sources report the shooting in the Beersheva mall was a dispute between two soldiers, culminating with one opening fire.
