9:00PM EST: [LEVAYA INFO BELOW] Tragedy struck Lakewood on the second night of Chol Hamoed Sukkos, when a Bochur was fatally struck by a vehicle.
Lakewood Hatzolah rushed to the numerous calls for the pedestrian struck on Cedarbridge Avenue near Washington Square, and found a 17-year-old Bochur in traumatic arrest. Paramedics attempted to save his life, but he was R”L pronounced dead at Kimball Medical center.
The vehicle which struck him reportedly fled the scene, and the Lakewood Police Department are conducting an investigating.
Misaskim units have been dispatched to the scene.
The name & the Levaya information will be posted pending proper notifications, and arrangements.
UPDATE: The Levaya for Habochur Shalom Werther Z”L (son of Rabbi Shabsi and Mrs. Chani Werther )will take place on Tuesday October 6th at 12 noon at Bais Shaindel on River Avenue. The Kevura will be in Deans, NJ.

How many more young lives will it take for us to realize that Hashem is sending us a message?
1. A choshuve bochur is killed in a car accident this summer.
2. A 6 y/o boys is heat by a truck near Camp Moris and is killed
3. A ten y/o boy was struck in Brooklyn on Avenue J and is in critical condition.
4. A 16 y/o girl is struck on Ocean Parkway and is in critical condition.
5. Now a 17 y/o is taken away in Lakewood.
