Senior Diplomatic Post Candidate Supports Abandoning Yosh Communities

While voters pointed to a desire for a change, a right-wing government, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu seems to have missed the message. This is evident by his eagerness to appoint Labor Party officials to senior government posts, as well as his apparent intention to appoint Dr. Michael Oren as Israel’s next ambassador to Washington, DC, the daily Haaretz reports.

Oren, who was born and raised in the United States, is affiliated with the Jerusalem-based Shalem Center think tank. He is an outspoken advocate of a unilateral Israeli withdrawal from Yehuda and Shomron, viewing such a move as Israel’s only chance to save herself.
