The following is a statement by Rabbi Yaacov Behrman, Executive Director
The Jewish Future Alliance in Crown Heights:
The Hate Crime Task Force is investigating 7 incidents of hate in Crown Heights since September. In the last week alone there have been two incidents of violence against Jews in Crown Heights. At 9:30pm, on Sunday November 10th, a gang of African American males attacked and punched a 20-year-old Jewish Caucasian male in the head. The victim was walking on Kingston and Crown. The attack was unprovoked and nothing was stolen.
On Wednesday, November 6th, at approximately 2:30pm, a twelve-year-old Jewish boy was attacked on President and Brooklyn. A gang of approximately 15 African American teens were at the scene of the attack. Two of them approached the young boy and punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground. The two attackers ran back to the group screaming “We got him” and received a roaring cheer.
Although we salute the hard work of the NYPD and acknowledge that they seem to be taking these incidents seriously, we are extremely disappointed that no arrests have been in any of these 7 incidents.
We call on the NYPD to increase their efforts to include larger police presence during prime hours and to distribute posters with identifying information to insure the perpetrators are brought to justice.

One Response
The problems are thus: First, since the Martin decision, Black attacks upon Whites has increased all over the country. Second, the media will not report this because it is not politically correct. Third, the rantings of both Obama and Holder encouraged a belief that justice was denied and so thus encouraged others to get revenge by taking matters into their own hand. Fourth, until the newly elected Mayor states publically that this kind of behavior will not be tolerated–expect more of the same.
so true so sad
