In light of the position of HaGaon HaRav Aaron Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita and HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita regarding avreichim that voted for the Bnei Torah party, former Bnei Brak Mayor Rav Avraham Rubenstein had avreichim in the Nachlas Moshe Kollel sign their allegiance.
In addition to serving as rosh kollel, Rav Rubinstein is the secretary of Degel Hatorah’s Moetzas Gedolei Yisrael. He is quoted saying that it is not acceptable for some of the his avreichim to back one gadol hatorah and others another, for this will lead to machlokes and unnecessary quarreling and it will detract from their limudim.
Being extremely close to Rav Chaim, Rav Rubinstein explained he was asked to have them sign for the sake of shalom bayis as the kollel will then be united.

has this political thing gotten out of hand in the Litvish world?
forcing avrachim to sign document?
next we will ‘force’ them to learn Torah.
or worse to write Politics with a capital P and ‘torah’ with a lower case t!
I’m starting my own kollel but in order to be accepted you first have to sign your allegiance to Hashem and His Torah. Now accepting applicants…
