Speaking with Kol Berama Radio, Shas leader Aryeh Deri invited the public at large to call Kol Berama Radio and report anything and everything they find to be wrong with Shas, promising in the coming months the party will begin the process of rebuilding itself.
Deri explained that he is dividing Israel into sectors and each of the 11 Shas MKs will be responsible for a sector. The party will be opening a Shas office in each sector to facilitate contact between the tzibur and their MK representative. Deri explains that performance of the MKs in their respective sectors will determine who of the current MKs will be tapped to run on the party list in the next Knesset election. “Those who do not perform will not return” Deri explained.
Deri stressed everyone will have to earn their slot and the party is “returning to the shetach” to reach the people and get back to our roots.
Deri used the extensive radio interview to reach out “to my dear friend and colleague, Rav Eliyahu Yishai,” to continue his active role in the party. Deri promises that Yishai will receive the respect and stature in the party that he had earned over the years, urging him to play an active role in the rebuilding process.

What’s wrong with the Shas party? Other than the fact that all Shas politicians care about is doing whatever will bring the most money to Shas, regardless of how it affects the rest of E”Y?

Whats wrong with Shas is Aryeh Deri. The gadol zatzal was a great fig leaf for a thuggish mafia. Eli Yishai needs to be very very careful. The Don was dissing him during the funeral and the shiva, with the “family” in approval.
they realize that shas wont have any credibility with this loud version of obama and hes trying to get yishai to bring stability and cohesion for his political community..
its now in yishai’s court to decide to let the ashes fall and start fresh on his own credibility alone or to try to revive the sinking senior political ship and risk his career shlepping these charlatans behind him
there is definitely rebranding happening the question whos pulling the strings on who in this proccess
And there I thought that an MK’s primary duty is to legislate with the goal of enhancing the well-being of the state and of its citizens; it turns out that in Deriworld an MK’s primary duty is to be a political commissar. Neither the well-being of the state nor the well-being of its citizens may be the primary focus of an MK in Deriworld – it is only the well-being of the party that counts.
