State Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein has sent a letter to the Yesh Din organization in which he reverses the status quo of the past eight years.
Following the 2005 implementation of the Disengagement Plan, the removal of Jews from Gush Katif, Sanur and Chomesh, the IDF prohibited PA (Palestinian Authority) residents from entering that area, which has been a closed military zone for the PA farmers.
The Jews have maintained a presence at Chomesh during the past eight years, but now, Weinstein has reversed that current status quo. In the letter sent to Yesh Din Weinstein explains PA residents are no longer barred from entering the area. Weinstein permits the PA residents to return and resume working their land in that area.
