Jerusalem Magistrate Court Justice Mak-Kalmonovich on Sunday, 15 Tammuz 5773 extended the remand of the Kosel guard who shot and killed Doron Ben-Shalush on erev Shabbos by five days.
Authorities report the suspect, a former officer in the Israel Border Police, is not cooperating with police and he is refusing to respond to questions. His attorney, Kamel Kamel insists his client is a good person, who acted responsibility despite the tragic outcome in the case.
Police officials have a different perspective, telling the court he is “a dangerous person and therefore, he should remain behind bars.
