Chassidim Voted Bayit Yehudi Voter Fraud Investigation Reveals

votThe ongoing police investigation into alleged voter fraud surrounding the Bayit HaYehudi primary election reveals that among those who are believed to have voted were 350 Kretchnif (קרעטשניף) Chassidim in Rehovot, not exactly persons who are aligned with the dati leumi Zionist hashkafa of that party.

According to the Srugim report, 130 Gerrer Chassidim in the Chidushei HaRim community in Tel Aviv did the same, taking part in the Bayit Yehudi primary election. Police are investigating to establish if they received money for voting. In Rehovot it is explained that the money they paid to register for the party by check or credit card was returned to them by local party activists.

In line with the party’s charter, the chassidim are legitimately permitted to vote since the party guidelines permits anyone who is shomer Shabbos to join and vote in the primaries. The question that remains is if they received payment for their votes. Police are investigating.

  1. or it could be they are foreign policy hawks and are felt closet to the Dati Leumi position than the more dove-like position of the hareidi parties

  2. par for the course.
the police & media wish that if BY looks corrupt, the chareidi chassidim should be swamped in with them.
