After serving ten months of his 7-year prison term, former president Moshe Katsav’s attorneys have filed a petition with the Ministry of Justice seeking a presidential pardon. The petition will be passed to President Shimon Peres, who will have to decide to honor or decline the request.
Katsav is the first president in the nation’s history to have been convicted of violent crimes while in office.

For the shame he brought to Eretz Yisrael, throw away the key and forget about him… NO Pardon ever!

Good luck with that. Peres is well known to be full of the milk of human kindness. Not. Better wait until there’s a new president.
#1, He was railroaded, because he’s religious and of the right. No normal person would have been convicted on that evidence.
