An Arab male was seriously injured in an altercation with a Jewish male at Kikar Tzion in Yerushalayim on erev shabbos. A 19-year-old Jewish male is in custody on suspicion of involvement in the incident. The suspect denies any connection with the beating incident.

The victim was transported to the trauma unit of Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in moderate-to-serious condition with head injuries. Police are confident that area surveillance cameras will shed light on the investigation.
