Once again a Jewish motorist fell prey to Arab carjackers, this time in Shomron, on Route 55, not far from Karnei Shomron. This latest attack occurred on Tuesday, 21 Shevat 5772. A Subaru driven by an Arab male cut off the Jewish-driven vehicle near the Arab village of Nbei Elias. The Arab driver got out and approached the female driver of the Toyota, a resident of Karnei Shomron, and he grabbed her and forced her out of the vehicle, dragging her on the road a bit and injuring her, Baruch Hashem only lightly, physically speaking that is. The emotional trauma is far worse.
Kol HaYehudi spoke with another community resident, Oriel, who arrived about a minute later. He explained his father was with him in his vehicle when they say the community resident standing on the side of the road, in shock. “We also saw an Arab in the bushes nearby. My father and his friend ran after him while I summoned assistance” Oriel explains.
Making things worse, the army patrol took 40 minutes to arrive, way too late to be of assistance.

Next time when calling for help say that some settlers are beating an arab. The army or magavnikim will be there in 60 seconds!!!
The solution is not to go to such dangerous places. In all my years in Israel, the most dangerous places I have visited are Beitar Illit, Maaleh Adumim and Kiryat Sefer. Haven’t been anywhere beyond the Green Line apart from those places (except for taking a bus to Ein Gedi a couple of times).
If people decide to go to dangerous places then they should expect such things. Just don’t go there. Problem solved.
