Today, 12 Cheshvan, Eida Chareidis pashkavilim against violence in Geula and Meah Shearim are visible, with sharp words of condemnation from the Gavaad Shlita. The pashkavilim condemn those who have “taken part in violence, broken limbs, damaged Klal Yisrael’s property and money, and even to the point of damaging shuls”. They are signed by the Gavaad – HaGaon HaRav Yitzchak Tuvia Weiss Shlita, HaGaon HaRav Moshe Sternbuch Shlita and other Eida rabbonim.

Anyone who heard of the brutal beating of Avraham Moshe Hirschman would have condemned it, as these rabbonim have.
When you condone violence against fellow yidden whom you don’t believe are frum enough, or jewish enough, or are too tzioni etc. you will eventually end up with violence against people closer to home.
Everyone has the right to disagree with the next or with the state if they so desire, but when the Eida actively or passively condones violence they are heading down a slippery slope.
Chazal tell us that at the time of the churban of the 2nd beis hamikdash people considered each other to be Tziddukim because they didn’t adhear to the same point of view as them. this promotes sinas chinam and distruction.
It’s good to see the Eida coming out against violence in the comunity, but they need to make this across the board or else sooner or later this problem will repeat itself.
Time to act like adults before someone gets killed.

The Eida condemming Charedi on Charedi violence is kind of like Jesse Jackson yelling about Black on Black crime.
