Military investigators believe “settlers” are responsible for a vandalism attack that occurred on Tuesday night in the Yosh Battalion Command adjacent to Beit El.
According to an IDF report, tires were slashed on a number of vehicles and graffiti was spray painted, including “Regards from Migron” and “Price Tag”. There was also other damage caused to 10-12 vehicles as well as graffiti on buildings.
Police are not only seeking to learn who was responsible, but how they managed to enter the base during the nighttime hours.
Settlement Council leader Danny Dayan described the act as “criminal”, calling on those responsible to turn themselves in, decrying any attack against an IDF base. Dayan told Reshet Bet Radio that such incidents are in no way representative of the population of communities throughout Yehuda and Shomron. He pointed out that the jeeps damaged are not only from tax funds from “all of us”, but the jeeps are now unable to respond to calls for assistance in the area until repairs are actualized.
Dayan concluded that he is certain that residents from Migron are not responsible, adding the perpetrators may not even be residents of the area. He also called on leaders in the area to openly condemn such criminal actions, which ultimately harm the entire effort to continue building the Jewish communities.
He feels that to date, such incidents have been met with a gentle response and the time has come for law enforcement agencies and the judicial branch to come down hard on such offenders towards sending a clear message.

If the military personnel there didn’t intercept whoever did this, then the Palestinians will have much too easy a time getting in and doing what they want with the place.
