Wearing Sunglasses In A Place That Has No Eiruv
The Chai Adom is of the opinion that it is forbidden to walk outside on Shabbos with glasses in a place that does not have a eiruv. The reason is because the glasses might fall off ones face and he will come to carry them in reshus harabim. Today, this is not the case; the glasses are made to fit around ones ear and are not susceptible to falling of ones face. In regard to wearing sunglasses in depends why a person is wearing them. If he is wearing them because the sun is bothersome to ones eyes, then he may wear them. However, before one wears sunglasses outside on Shabbos in a place that does not have an eiruv he should consult with his or her Rabbi. Clip on sunglasses that stay on the regular glasses at all times are permitted to be worn outside on Shabbos in a place that does not have an eiruv.
