Theres such a thing of an oneis if the person was ill or for whatever valid reason couldn’t do the mitzvah then you are called an oneis and you are patur from performing the mitzvah. If your mind wwasn’t there due to medication or whatever if it is a valid oneis then that’s it you are patur. Is that what the case is here?
