The Kupt Hai’ir vaad harabbonim issue has been mentioned a few times by yated columnists, including the “Chinuch Roundtable”. As one of them wrote, the segulah of tzedakah is not dependent on the advertising budget of the tzedakah. Many feel that Kupat Ha’ir is wrong for this, just like many feel that Oorah’s “gashmius” approach is wrong. I would give Kupat Ha’ir money DESPITE their advertising, not because of it.
