Eleven public officials from across New Jersey, were arrested Thursday in a federal corruption probe. Democratic state Assemblymen Mims Hackett Jr. and Alfred E. Steele were among those arrested, along with Passaic Mayor Samuel Rivera, a law enforcement official told the Associated Press.
The chief of staff to Newark’s City Council president was also arrested, the official said, along with Passaic Councilmen Jonathan Soto and Marcellus Jackson and five Pleasantville school board members.
The arrests are the latest in an anti-corruption campaign waged by Christie’s office, and mark the second major corruption roundup this year.

New Jersey has been for years a place of federal criminal activity among it’s elected officials.
What is this doing on YWN? does it perhaps involve and impact our neighborhoods or our leaders? Do special privileges come from giving gifts? Are we to insinuate that we had something to do withthis or is this just another way to fill up the web page?
