Dozens of Continental Airlines flights were canceled Wednesday because too many pilots called in sick.
Officials said about 21 flights were canceled because of the illnesses. Airline officials did not release a list of the cancellations, but said they were primarily out of the New York area. No Houston flights were affected.
Continental said it operates 3,000 flights daily.
Travelers were advised to call ahead about the status of their flights.

Dozens? According to my math, 21/12 doesn’t even equal 2. So how do you say loshon rabim? (Unless of course it’s rounded off.)
#1,
if it were 1, it would be lashon yachid.
MORE than 1 (1.75 dz), is lashon Rabim
That’s dozens as in “tons of people were there”. 🙂
Continental? I guess the folks at Houston are having a problem saying UNITED.
Simple, it says dozens fo FLIGHTS were cancelled. Each piolet flys more than one flight, usually 2-3. Do the math, 21 piolets x 2 flights a day =42, which could count as dozens. Hense lashon rabim
5. What is a “piolet????”
A piolet is a pilot from the sixties: someone with flower power.
A piolet is someone who flies an aeroplane 🙂
