10:17PM EST: A Williamsburg Shomrim Coordinator has informed Yeshivaworld that they have successfully apprehended and assisted in the arrests of 9 teenagers for stealing bicycles – in under 30 minutes! The arrests took place on Thursday night at approximately 10:00PM EST – in the vicinity of Marcy Avenue and Penn Street. They have reportedly been trying to catch these thieves for the past few days. It’s good to know, that the streets of Willamsburg are being kept safe by these dedicated volunteers – especially at a time when thousands of bikes have just returned from summer vacations Upstate NY – to once again ride the streets of Williamsburg.
UPDATE 10:29PM EST: Yeshivaworld has just been given an update, that two additional arrests have just been made – bringing the total to 11.
