ROB: Of course it’s logical. If the Beis Din is Passul then it’s Passul. I don’t see your point. You can argue that of course the Beis Din wasn’t Passul (which I would be very willing to argue) but the argument makes sense. Just because you don’t like the conclusion doesn’t make it a bad argument.
