The passage of same-gender marriage legislation and an on-time budget has many speculating if Governor Andrew Cuomo will make a run for the White House in 2016.
However, in a radio appearance Monday, the governor dismissed the rumors, saying he is only focused on his current job.
“I’m not going to engage in this conversation or fuel the speculation,” said Cuomo. “I have a very important job to do, we just started doing it, and I’m going to focus on this job.”
Cuomo said he’s hoping to build on his achievements which include an on-time budget and ethics reform.

He wants to be president for passing a morally repulsive bill. IF this is a standard that people in our country are looking for then we face the same fate as the Greek and Roman empires.
By definition, a governor from a large state (and while New York is slipping fast in the order of states, it is still a major state) is a potential nominee for president. But the next opening for a Democrat is in five years, and no one can predict that far into the future.
After signing the Toeiva bill into law, he has no future in national politics.
