President Obama hit the links today, making it 13 weekends in a row that he’s gone golfing.
As some of you speculated, with Michelle on safari in Africa, golf was pretty much a lock this weekend.
After having to basically clock in at work last weekend playing with the VP, Speaker Boehner, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R), he’s on the course today at Andrews Air Force Base with his usual relaxing crew of younger staffers.
From the pool report:
He’s wearing light brown slacks, a black golf shirt, hip Blackberry, iPad and some reading material, and no hat. Golfing with Trip Director Marvin Nicholson, Press Aide Ben Finkenbinder, and former campaign photographer David Katz.
For those of you playing along at home, this is the 16th time Obama has golfed this year and the 74th outing of his presidency.

This is the first time an American President had so much spare time on his hands. Either has nothing to do, or someone is running the country without him. Either way, it certainly shows we don’t need him, doesn’t it?
AND YOU WONDER WHERE OUR HARD EARNED TAXPAYERS’ MONEY IS GOING AND WHY THE DEFICIT IS INCREASING. DOES ONE HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH AN OUTING LIKE THIS COSTS THE TAXPAYER??????
Perhaps he is golfing now because in 18 months G-D WILLING when he goes back to being citizen obama, golf courses wont allow him anywhere near the course?!!?
So, what? He plays golf on weekends.
He is also on call “24 x 365” in one of the most unrelenting jobs in the world.
The fact that he schedules time for relaxation and exercise is actually a good thing.
Now, you want to argue policy? That’s a different thing.
But focusing on weekend golfing is just a distraction.
1) areies2756: look at the amount of time that DD Eisenhower spent on the links
2) elish y: any “outing” or movement of the President requires a retinue of Secret Service and other federal agencies. It’s the cost of doing business and we didn’t elect any President to spend his (her?) term stuck inside the four walls of the White House.
3) mark levin: He will be one of the most popular, prized golfing buddies out there when he leaves office. And then he will command top price.
On this frum web site, why has no one commented on two of the President’s foursome, Messrs. Finkenbinder and Katz, who could be Jewish and are playing golf on Shabbos? The least that someone could do is tell the joke about the rabbi who played golf on Yom Kippur and shot 18 holes-in-one.
No. 4 has aptly described the impertinence, inaccuracy and irrelevance of comments 1 through 3.

You must be new to this or you are a drone because otherwise you would have known that any Republican would have been excoriated for golfing. In fact he didnt golf for the last many years he was in office because he could not deal with golfing while his soldiers were in harms way.
Go take a REAL history lesson!
