As much as it would be nice to win the lottery, it would probably be a curse in disguise. G-d punished the snake that he would have to eat the dust of the earth. It doesn’t seem like a punishment as there is so much dust, the snake will never go hungry. The punishment is that G-d is telling the snake, I don’t want you bothering me for parnassah, I don’t want a relationship with you, take your food and go. Winning the lottery (at least a lottery that would give you enough $$$ for the rest of your life), is kind of like that.
