I think they are one of those “status symbols” that frum girls like to have that indicate that they have been to E”Y. I think they are completely harmless, if you are wearing it at home- even in public, there is nothing wrong with it. I mean, I would not go into a Bais yaakov wearing one, but when you go to malcha, or are in other places, I don’t see the harm in it. How are they not tznius?
