[THE LARGEST PHOTO ALBUM ON THE INTERNET BELOW] Hundreds of thousands of people lined Fifth Avenue Sunday for the Celebrate Israel Parade in a strong showing of support for the State of Israel. The record 16 marching bands, 23 entertainment-filled floats and 160 participating groups with 30,000 marchers came from near and far for what has become the single largest event in support of Israel in the world.
“The Celebrate Israel Parade had a record turnout, with more participants, bands and floats than ever before. The morning run, the midday parade and tonight’s concert are true celebrations, rising above issues on the ground in the Middle East,” said Michael Miller, executive vice president and CEO of the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York. “All the more, the live broadcast gave so many more people in the metro area an opportunity to celebrate with us from home. Being part of these enthusiastic crowds – who stand with Israel and celebrate all it has to offer – was truly a meaningful experience for everyone involved.”
Joining Mayor Michael Bloomberg and this year’s grand marshal, real estate and retail entrepreneur Joseph Sitts, were Gov. Andrew Cuomo, Sen. Charles Schumer, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, Rep. Jerrold Nadler, Rep. Eliot Engel, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, City Comptroller John Liu, State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli, Israeli Minister of Public Affairs and Diplomacy Yuli Edelstein, Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Michael Oren and Consul General of Israel in New York Ido Aharoni.
More than 7,000 runners participated in the morning Celebrate Israel Run, which featured Israeli music, food and raffle prizes from EL AL, Shoprite and the New York Mets.

Now it goes to show character obama he should not make deragatory remarks towards Israel saying they should retreat back to ’67 borders. Enjoy your one term…
I also must say there was a gr8 turnout of young adults and high schoolers as well. I send out kudos to them and keep your love for Israel strong and never falter in that love.
