(Click HERE for photo album) The Satmar Rebbe Shlita from Kiryas Yoel arrived in Frankfurt where he Davened Shachris and then he went to the Mora D’Asra of Frankfurt – Rav Klein Shlita. A police escort then took the Rebbe to the plane where the pilot had the opportunity to meet the Rebbe and receive a Brocha.
The plane arrived in Eretz Yisroel at 2:52 pm (EY time).
The first stop the Rebbe made was by his Shver, the Viznitzer Rebbe Shlita. After that, the Sasover Rebbe Shlita came to visit the Rebbe.
Following that, the Rebbe went to Rav Mayer Gruvitz for Mincha & a Seudas Rosh Chodesh.
Before leaving Bnei Brak, the Rebbe visited Hagoen Rav Shmuel Haleyvi Wosner Shlita.
The Rebbe then went to Yerushalayim where he visited Rav Moshe Shternbuch Shlita. Together they went to visit the Gavad Yerushalayim Shlita.
From there, they went to the massive Kabolas Ponim in Kikar Shabbos where thousands of people attended. The Rebbe is there to lay the cornerstone for a new Charedi housing complex on a site that once housed the Edison Cinema in Yerushalayim.
For years, starting in the 1950s, the Edison theater had been the scene of violent, and sometimes bloody, clashes between police and Charedi residents of Mea Shearim who opposed the screening of movies that violated the holiness of the Jewish people’s most sacred city.

Ed, I do not – I am placing some degree of trust in the YW website that the account is accurate. What I do know to be true, based on photographic evidence accompanying the story, is that the rebbe apparently flew on a German airline which, to me, is surprising to say the least. It is not much of a stretch to think that he also blessed the pilot. He certainly helped pay his next paycheck.

It was beautiful to see this past Sunday how the biggest Rebbe Shlit”a (Harav Ahron from Satmar) came to the Chasunah of the daughter of the biggest Rosh Hayeshiva Shlit’a (Harav Malkiel Kotler). It was beautiful to see how close these two manhigim are even though one represents chasidus and one toras Hagra. This achdus is going to bring Moshiach!

YW Editor Responds: Nothing personal, but I would like to state a fact. Yes a fact. Maran Hagoen Rav Shmuel Berenbaum Shlita would have no clue who the Satmar Rebbe is if he saw him on the street. Another fact is, that he went to the Chuf Alef Kislev Seuda because HE WAS TOLD HE WAS GOING TO SPEAK.

He has no clue who Rav Aron OR Rav Zalman Leib are. As a matter of fact, he has no knowledge of any Machlokes between the brothers. ZERO knowledge.

Reb Chaim Elozor Shapiro, Rav in Munkatch before the war was a TZADDIK , A GADOL BATORAH, wrote many seforim including the famous ‘minchas Eluzer’.A descendant of the Bnei Yissacher and a ‘shining light’ in Hungary and all of Europe.
He, even HE once stood up for a simple Jew who came to see him because he said that the shechina was evidently resting on this man.
The Chasam Sofer who was to become the son in law of the illustreous Reb Akiva Eiger told his potential Shadchen, ‘Reb Akiva will never take me,I’m a ‘nothing’ compard to him.’
In return Reb Akiva responded by saying ‘ why should someone as great as the Chasam Sofer want me as a father in law, I am a ‘nothing’ compared to him’

Obviously the article was written by a chosid of r’ Aharon. If he would not describe his Rebbe as the biggest tzadik, godol etc. there would be a problem. At least this guy is not as confused as the litvishe who are looking for ‘rebbes’ and pick on any former magid shiur in yeshiva ketana who passed the age of 75. If the guy started growing a beard at age 70 it might be white too. Funny thing is that those gedolim posses daas torah but no one can chazzer a good shiur they heard from them or in many cases show a sefer they have written. They travel around and get kovod as ‘gedolim’ but never say anything more than divrei chizuk.
Their teshuvos are never backed by any torah sources. Just plain daas torah one liners that seem to contradict all halachic sources. But hey the godol has spoken so how can we argue against daas torah?
Yes, Satmar KJ has a major PR team. And theyre doing a good job. They show the world that they are a living,vibrant jewish comunity. There is no doubt that this hype around r’ aharon will keep many teens at risk in KJ in the fold. At least they know they are part of something.

I have family in “Kiryat Sanz” in Natanya I spoke to him today he told me that the call that the Satmar Rebbe is stopping in the Kirya Sunday night came as a total surprise so “Kind and keit” Men, Women, and children all came to the Sanz Rebbe’s house Sunday night at 12 midnight (the Satmar Rebbe was on his way up to Meron and Teverya) nobody wanted to miss this Historic Moment, The Satmar entourage consisted of over 100 cars and buses so there was no room for everybody in the Rebbe’s house. So Hundreds of people waited outside and mingled with the Satmar crowd, It was an amazing sight to watch, Let’s all hope that the “Trailblazer” Satmar Rebbe Shli”ta who is close with all the leading Gedolim and Admorim of our generation will be Meached Klal Yisroel so Moshiach Tzidkeinu will arive B’korov mamesh.
