I know a guy who wanted to be buried next to a gadol, so when he was dying, he went right next to the grave and died there as a meis mitzva, so they would have to bury him there when they found him.
But, they outsmarted him. They brought someone else who was dying and was choshuv, and let that guy die even closer to the gadol as a meis mitzva, and then buried that guy there.
