Former U.S. Sen. George Mitchell is resigning as the Obama administration’s Mideast envoy, a senior U.S. official told CNN Friday.
Mitchell, a former Maine senator and prominent American diplomat, has served as Obama’s point man in the region as the administration has tried to keep Arab-Israeli peace talks on track.
Mitchell has repeatedly reaffirmed the importance of comprehensive peace in the region, including Israeli-Palestinian agreement on a two-state solution and normalization of relations between Israel and both Syria and Lebanon.

LOL! Were they EVER on track?!?
I can’t imagine why he would step down when he’s been doing such a ‘great’ job!
Aha. So he figured out something? Maybe he should write a book about it.
Any man who is cold hearted enough to ignore continuous targeted killing of Israeli civilians which is evil, and worry stiff about Israel targeted killing of vicious murderers which happens to be justice and good is obviously not fit for the job.
