everywhere in the medical literature that the prefix: “auto” is used it is used in reference to oneself.
i did find a few places that gave the correct definition. it is a fear, usually associated with OCD, that one himself has a bad odor that others find repulsive in him, leading to taking extreme measures, such as the excessive and repetitive application of deodorants and perfumes and bathing multiple times in one day.
