  1. Rabbi Ghuri and his wife are a regular American couple, children of immigrants as stated above. In fact, they lived in Lakewood after their marriage until Rabbi Ghuri was invited to be the Rav in Chile.

  2. Rebbetzin Ghoori is the daughter of Rabbi and Mrs. Lankry. Her father has a Shul next to the Mir in Flatbush. Her mother is the world famous cook in Camp Agudah for over 30 years.

The Ghoori family runs the Aish haTorah Branch in Chile and do amazing work in Kiruv.

  3. I’m confused – I read the article linked by reb yid probably 1 or two years ago. (If not, it was extremely similar.) Is this story from the JTA an old one, or did he meet him again and the article above is not about this same encounter?

By the way, his brother is Yishai Ghoori, of Chavrei HaKollel in Lakewood.

  4. to metzapeh , the original article was about the kings trip to chile. last week i was by his place in morocco……….

  5. Yatzmich,
It’s been almost 20 years since I’ve been in Camp Agudah and I honestly don’t think I’ve tasted a better kokish cake since. Ahhh, the memories!
