Two single-engine Piper airplanes collided in mid-air and crashed into a heavily wooded area in New Hampton Monday afternoon. Two people were killed and a third was seriously injured, authorities said.
The crash occurred at around 2:50 p.m.State Police BCI Captain Joseph Tripodo said both planes crashed into the woods.
“We have two fixed-wing aircraft; it looks like a mid-air collision and we have at least two confirmed fatals,” he said. “One plane burst in flames upon its crashing and the other plane did not burn, it was intact, crushed but intact.”
One plane, a Piper PA28 was registered to Edward Crump of Boonton, NJ and the other, a Piper PA26, was registered to Gary Delia of Sussex, NJ, according to FAA spokeswoman Arlene Salac.
The identities of the victims have not yet been confirmed.

Aircraft is both singular and plural. There is no such as thing as “two aircrafts”.
At least that’s what I thought. Maybe I’m wrong.
TO #1- Before you start criticizing why dont you read the article again. When you find the word “aricraft” in it let us know. ( Unless the article was corrected prior to my reading it)
