An 80-year-old woman was R”L hit by a truck on Recov Bar Ilan @ Recov Shmuel Hanavi earlier today. Hatzolah Israel and Magen David Adom attempted to save her life – and transported her to the hospital. Unfortunately, she was Niftar a short while ago. The Jerusalem Post is now reporting that the truck driver  – a resident of East Jerusalem – had 38 past traffic convictions. After hitting the pedestrian, he fled the scene, but was apprehended by police shortly after.
