Avi: The Rambam is certainly a tremendous support to rely on. But standard Jewish thought nowadays is nowhere near as rationalistic as the Rambam is. The Rambam was too rationalistic for his own time. That’s why some burned his books. Kal V’chomer would he be on the fringe if he lived today, after us having 700 years of Kaballah being incorporated.
