my grandfather made aliyah many years ago from canada. he didn’t speak the language, and was embarassed that he did nothing with his day. one day he met a friend, who asked him what he does. my grandpa answerd him:
“listen, i’m a kohen, and here in Israel they duchan every day. I have to untie my shoes, and retie my shoes, it keeps me very busy. i don’t have much time to do anything else”
