East Brunswick, NJ – Three people were seriously injured while returning from Shul on Friday night, when an SUV struck them as they crossed Dunhams Corner Road in the township at 8:08 p.m. Friday, police said.
The driver, a 53-year-old East Brunswick resident, was traveling west on Dunhams Corner Road when he struck the pedestrians — two men ages 20 and 58, and a 56-year-old woman — as they crossed in the crosswalk at Colonial Drive.
The East Brunswick Rescue Squad and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital paramedics responded and the pedestrians were taken to the hospital with “”serious injuries,” according to a township police news release.
The driver of the SUV, a 2006 Nissan Murano, “failed to observe the pedestrians in advance and as a result struck all three,” police said.
The collision is under investigation, and police are asking anyone with any information about the crash to call Patrolman Thomas Kienle or Patrolman James Angermeier of the East Brunswick Police Traffic Safety Section at 732-390-6969.

Please daven for Shmuel Moshe ben Leiba. He is the male who was critically injured in the accident. His wife and their son, are doing well. She was released from the hospital last night and her son is being released today.
Thank you for your prayers.
Is this near the Young Israel?
Yes. It happened a half a block away. They need put a light there. This accident was only a matter of time.
Across town in an unrelated event on the same night a man with a gun was run off at Temple B’nai Shalom, EB’s reform temple. The man walked into Shabbot services and sat in the back. He looked out of place and people saw he had a gun. The maintenance man questioned him and tried to grab the gun from him. He ran off and drove away with his lights off. The police were unable to catch him. The Police are looking for him.
these people were walking home from the young israel, Homeowner. Also, its interesting how these tradegies were in EB and not in Israel, Libya, or Japan.
