These calls are the most irritating and annoying things ever. When they give an option of “select 1 to speak with an operator”, I tend to select 1 and ask them to remove me from the phone list. Having said that, I do not believe the calls are illegal, since charitable organizations are exempt from the do not call registry guidelines.
