You can try making a truly edible seder plate, if you don’t mind bending tradition a bit. My favorites are pickled beets and herbed egg salad, or deviled egg, or mini omelette for the egg and bone, and pear mint charoses, that actually gets eaten. If you don’t like the vegetarian way the beets can be substituted by say, cubed corned beef. Make it colorful, abundant, and inviting so that people starving ( or thinking that they are starving) during Magid can nosh away their angst.
