Donald Trump doesn’t take lightly any talk that he can’t get elected president.
The real estate mogul, who is testing the waters for a 2012 presidential bid, took issue with comments from Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., a member of the GOP leadership and himself a one-time presidential candidate.
Over the weekend, Alexander told CNN that Trump “has absolutely no chance of winning” and is “famous for being famous.” The words are similar to what Trump used to diss Rep. Ron Paul at the Conservative Political Action Conference last month, saying the Texas Republican as “zero chance” of getting elected president.
Trump, during an appearance on Fox News, now has dismissed Alexander — a former education secretary under President George H.W. Bush and the current Senate Republican Conference chairman — as someone who has “done very little over the years” and “does not seem to be an important player in Washington.”
A Trump aide, Michael Cohen, was in Iowa on Monday gauging interest in a presidential bid by the reality TV show star of The Apprentice. Trump has said he will make a decision by June about whether he’ll run in what will be a crowded GOP presidential primary.

Over the years, the Donald has contributed money to many political candidates and causes. If and when he becomes a serious candidate for the Republican nomination, “the knives will come out,” and his Republican opponents will say that his loyalty to the Republican point of view is suspect at best. He therefore has no chance of getting the nomination, but he can afford to toy publicly with the idea, and even throw some of his money into it. And toying publicly is what the Donald does very well.
Aw be quiet! You are too much of a coward to go on Mark Levin’s show! You were married how many times? You are too much of a hypocrite who would wind up to be another Carl Paladino!
Will you please go back where you came from Mr. Trump?!
For Exhibit A in support of Comment No. 1, see Comment No. 2.
There is a reason we have the primaries and that is to vet people out. I have no doubt The Donald, or just about anyone for that matter, could beat The Anointed One in the General Election.
Obama will be the worst single term president we have ever had.
this fellow’s middle name is GAAVEH.
sorry #4, the worst president title has already been taken, by George Bush…
5 RT,
Is that so? I guess you are really suffering from Bush Derangement Syndrome. I truly feel bad for you. Oh well, have another shot on purim and maybe you will feel better.
Its Obama, Carter, FDR, or Wilson all in the top 10 worst!
Trump reminds me of another mega-wealther presidential candidate who ran several years back, namely, Ross Perot. As I recall it, the man never even made it to first base. No reason to think Trump would be any different…
