NYC Subway Plot Suspect To FBI Agent: Are You Jewish?

After narrowly escaping death in his bid for martyrdom, NYC subway bomb plot suspect Adnan Medunjanin had one question for FBI agent Aaron Spivack.

“He asked me if I was Jewish,” Spivack testified Monday at an evidentiary hearing in Brooklyn Federal Court.

Medunjanin had crashed his Nissan Altima on the Whitestone Expressway last January not long after he learned that authorities knew he had traveled to Pakistan to train in an Al Qaeda terrorist camp.

Medunjanin and co-conspirators Najibullah Zazi and Zarein Ahmedzay were motivated to join the Taliban and later become suicide bombers in New York City in part because of their hatred of Israel.

“He began to talk religious talk . . . about how Judaism was the wrong religion . . . it was like a lecture or a speech,” Spivack recalled.

Medunjanin did not want the agent to touch him because he was Jewish and also refused to allow a female agent fingerprint him.
