“Hello. I’d like to report a homicidal dictator.”
The United Nations is taking a tip from Mayor Bloomberg and studying the city’s 311 hot line in order to create similar system for UN staffers stationed around the globe.
Last December, UN officials met with City Hall officials to discuss how to build the 311 system.
“They wanted to know how we went about designing the plan to build out 311,” said the call center’s executive director, Joe Morrisroe. They grilled Morrisroe on how to staff a call center 24/7 and the timeline for planning, he said.

1.Homicidal anything only a 311?
2. Since when does that raise objections in the UN? Remember that Joe Stalin was one of the founding members.
3. They might be able to use the number for complaints about politically incorrect minorities (e.g. non-fanatics in Muslim countries, religious Jews just about anywhere, etc.) asserting their rights – the UN does often take actions to prevent such horrors (they support resolutions supporting “blasphemy” laws in Muslim countries, and never objected to discrimination against anyone observing a mnority sabbath – that’s not their interest)
