[UPDATES IN EXTENDED ARTICLE] Flatbush – The NYPD is currently on the scene at Yeshiva Chaim Berlin on Coney Island Avenue, and are investigating a suspicious package. The officers have requested the Emergency Services Units (ESU) to respond for assistance. The package is a briefcase and was left next to one of the doors to the building.
The building has been evacuated as a precaution, and the Bomb Squad has been dispatched to the scene.
UPDATE 4:20PM: The Bomb Squad has properly identified the package, and the Yeshiva is returning to the building.

Was this a briefcase inside the rear entrance? I saw it there about 1:45 PM today, but didn’t think twice of it.
