Over 200 dignitaries, community leaders, and members of the Jewish community gathered at the Condor Hotel in Williamsburg to honor the Executive Team of NYU Medical Center for their consistent and dedicated work with their patients, and for attentiveness and sensitivity toward the Jewish community and its cultural and medical needs.
Dr. Andrew Brotman, Professor and Vice Dean in Psychiatry, Dr. Bernard Birnbaum, Professor and Vice Dean in Radiology, Dr. Robert Press, Chief Medical Officer, and Dr. Leon Pachter, Chairman and Professor of Surgery were all honored along with Mr. Israel Rosman, Advocate and Liaison to the Jewish Community. All of these exceptional people work day and night to make sure that patients receive proper care and attention, and that their religious and cultural sensitivities are kept in mind.
The Association of Orthodox Healthcare of New York awarded the leaders of the medical center for their exceptional hard work, total dedication to medicine, and absolute devotion to their patients. This team is responsible for the well being of thousands of patients. They dedicate their lives to the comfort and care of people dealing with disease and uncertainty.
Among the speakers was Rabbi Chaim Dovid Zwiebel, Executive Vice President of Agudath Israel of America, who praised the medical team of NYU medical center as “Angels of God”.
Also in attendance was NYS Senator Eric Adams who came to present Proclamations from the State Senate honoring them for their fine work. “These individuals are personally involved in treating thousands of members of the community with utmost care. These exceptional professionals provided comfort and care during trying times in life”, said State Senator Eric Adams.
Leaders of Hatzolah, Shomrim, & other chesed organizations all praised the NYU team as well.
