Let’s pretend that al pi din (sources?) you can only be happy if he’s a rosha. And lets pretend that he’s not a rosha. (Him? Not a rosha!? There is extensive proof that he is. He himself won’t deny the violence he has done.)

Still however, good riddance is simply “An expression of pleasure on being rid of some annoyance – usually an individual.”

This guy caused so much to pain so many Jewish people. Of course they are happy that some local mafia member isn’t around to torture them. Even if you cannot hate the guy, you can definitely hate his actions. Why not thank hashem for taking away this Tzaar?
