Why wouldnt you take food stamps if you are eligible? The only thing I can think of would be ???? ????? ????.
However, as BTGuy and bpt have said, you have been paying taxes everyday of your life to pay for local, state, and federal services which include police, fire, public works…AND medicaid, food stamps etc.. I dont see any diference between using the first two services mentioned when needed and not the last two.
