Personal information is not allowed in the CR. Users are told not to pry into the personal lives of others. Why should I use my real name?
I might also be denied a job if someone finds some of my writings and disagrees with me. It is nice being anonymous.
I also would feel vulnerable. Something might go wrong if I talk about my planned pesach vacation in a hotel with my real name. One could easily look up my name and gain info based upon some of my old posts, put 2 and 2 together and break into my home when I am away.
I see no personal gain to using my real name.
