If it were up to me, I would Pasken Halacha Lema’aseh that someone who gets behind the wheel of a car while intoxicated has the Din of a Rodeph. Saying driving under the influence is dangerous is so much of an understatement that saying so is gross negligence. It’s attempted murder, nothing less.
