I didn’t have to pay for it,
anyhow I’m too frugal.
Concerning your challenge
to rhyme the word purple,
I had no success,
nor did my friend, Yitzy Kerpel.
So I asked his brother,
Moshe Aharon Dovid Kerpel,
who said he hurt his leg,
and is now forced to hirple.
I sent him to the doctor,
who gave him a cast,
this thread’s getting stranger,
though I’m having a blast.
I’m running quite late
so I report with a frown
that I must get going,
and close this poem down.
