I liked Gingrich from the beginning. He is easily the most intelligent and capable of all those who stand on the debate stages. He has a very blunt sense of humor and I am not sure if he is personable enough to be president but time will tell. As for his baggage, his personal life I dont think will be too detrimental since people right now just want a capable guy. clinton also had a crazy background but he was elected anyway because he did the job. It might be a problem however if its brought out that he is unreliable like many reports now are saying. Ill be very interested to see how he handles himself in the next debate. I cant imagine him ever getting rattled, and I cannot imagine anyone on that stage starting up with him. Time will tell.
