Sam: Rav Elyashiv has a Teshuva printed in Kovetz Teshuvos where he forbids shaving with an electric shaver. Unfortunately, one of the sources he quotes is the Chofetz Chaim in Likutei Halachos, which was written before the invention of the electric shaver.
